Michael Keaton is known as a comic actor who can also go the serious route.

His debut role in Ron Howard’s manic morgue comedy Night Shift (1982, with Shelley Long) and appeared as the title character in Tim Burton's dark comedy Beetlejuice (1988). The next year he played Batman in Burton's big-budget movie Batman; the movie that created the franchise for a series of Hollywood hits, as well as it’s sequel Batman Returns. Keaton has also appeared in many other Hollywood hits, including Mr. Mom, Johnny Dangerously, Jackie Brown, Multiplicity, The Other Guys, and leant his voice to animated hits Cars and Toy Story 3.

The actor turned in one of the best performances of his career in the HBO telepic Live from Baghdad (2002), playing real-life CNN producer Robert Wiener, who finds himself navigating dangerous territory as he tried to televise the 1991 Gulf War in Iraq. Keaton earned his first “Golden Globe” nomination for his compelling turn.

Keaton's affinity for fly fishing drew him to participate in the acclaimed Pirates of the Flats series and is now back in Buccaneers & Bones on the Outdoor Channel, exploring the wonders of bone fishing in Belize.
